Bat Survey in Belper – St Laurence Gardens

We were asked by a local land agent to look at the potential impact on bats associated with re-roofing a building in Belper, Derbyshire.

The building is of historical interest, being the former refectory of the convent at this site (now converted to residential housing).  We completed bat surveys at the site, and the planning application was permitted by Amber Valley Council.

Our report recommended installing ‘bat tiles’ in the new roof so that the project meets planning requirements for net gain in biodiversity.

Got a similar project in Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire or Staffordshire that needs a bat survey?
