I completed a bat survey of this former Church in January 2021. This was another project where most of the works had been completed, but the bat survey was requested as part of the planning application at a later stage. What a lovely conversion this is – the light will be amazing.
There is a confirmed bat roost here – bats can access the loft via a damaged timber flourish on the barge boards. It is unlikely that bats roosted in the main building of the church prior to conversion.
Now that the owners know that bats roost here, they can leave the damaged wood in place and the bats can continue to co-habit.
